Why Melinda?
Experienced. Practical. Independent.
For five years on Mono Council, I have brought a thoughtful, pragmatic approach to Town decisions — listening to residents, asking hard questions and considering what is best for Mono as a whole.
My background as a physician and professional misconduct adjudicator has strengthened my ability to navigate complex challenges with integrity and fairness. It has taught me to listen carefully, weigh evidence thoughtfully and make decisions grounded in clear reasoning and high ethical standards.
I am committed to serving the Town of Mono with independence, responsibility and respect for all residents. My goal is to make practical, informed decisions that protect the quality of life we value today while strengthening Mono for the future.
My Priorities

PROTECT OUR SERVICES
PLAN FOR OUR FUTURE
SAFEGUARD OUR FINANCES
Maintain the essential municipal services residents rely on, while ensuring they remain sustainable and affordable over the long term.
Make thoughtful decisions about infrastructure, growth and development, with an eye to both today's needs and tomorrow's costs.
Treat taxpayers' money with care and make decisions that recognize the full cost of projects, including ongoing maintenance and lifecycle costs.
